Coronavirus or not, I don’t get people that make a family event out of going to the grocery store. When I was growing up my mom did the grocery shopping alone and I was expected to leap into action the moment she got home to bring the groceries in.

My dad used to take us to the grocery store because he was working 70+ hour weeks on the regular. It was literally some of the time he got to spend with us.
I'll never understand it, everyone bitches that kids these days don't understand the real world, and then bitch that people take their kids into the real world.

Agree - I've always said the same. Especially the stores with the mini carts for kids to jam into your ankles or block the aisle. Fun times.

I personally think we should all be doing whatever is possible to minimize risk. Some things are unavoidable. If I were a single parent I’d bring my kids to the store of that we’re my only option, but Im not. I stay home with the kids while the wife shops. We still do plenty of activities trying to keep things normal as possible with the kids. It’s a struggle but the kids are handling it well.
