Op Made me think of this This place In Gonzales. We always text "Kuntry Kitchen today?" when we plan to go.
It is VERY legit.
It's buffet style for $15. The sides can be just okay sometimes because they don't season them well on purpose(lotta old folks come eat).
But each table has plenty seasonings/sauces available. And the main entrees are frickin delicious(fried chicken/fish, meatloaf, gumbo, pork tenderloin, etc) depending on the day of the week. Good local people running it too.

It used to Kousin's Kuntry Kitchen, but they changed it for some reason.

Kige has been trolling us for years. He’s not even trying to be subtle these days.

Gonzales Country Kitchen has been there since the 80's, and hasn't changed any.

Lucky they didn't put Kathy, the name of the owner, up there too.

My exact order also.
Agree, it'd be kinda unfair to leave 6 out.

Haven't been since about 2018 (moved) but their fried chicken was damn good, and the baked chicken was also legit. Surprised to hear their price has only gone up a couple dollars since I was last there.

No lie, I have a friend that used to have a small restaurant. His name is Kyle and he wanted his place to be named Kyle's Kajun Kitchen until someone pointed out the obvious.

Reminds me of a story I heard Kliff Kingsbury tell one time.
He was on a recruiting visit, and the mother of the recruit asked about his middle name. She wanted to make sure it wasn’t Kevin or Kyle, or any other name that started with a “K”
