Kroger not paying minimum wage. Buddy has been there 35 years, works the checkout and makes $80K.

If the city wants to pay it, fine.
Otherwise they can suck it.

Sure you are, if you believe people should be dependent on gubmet to get a raise.
The way out of poverty is to increase your value. All you want to do is keep them trapped in poverty.

I get them wanting more, hell I want raises at my job. That doesn't necessarily mean it makes financial sense for my employer to do so (particularly on a low margin business like grocery stores). Nor does that mean that the government should be the one making that decision.

Basing policy on empathy results in bad policy.

Hero pay is a very cringy thing to call it.
However, I have no problems with the workers wanting to be paid more. Kroger has had an increase in sales with COVID and the CEO has had a salary increase as well.
Bless your heart. We know you mean well just don’t know how businesses work.
True definition of a useful idiot.

All I know is that people that work the deli should get paid more than anyone else in a grocery store. Those people have to deal with more shite than most. I honestly feel bad for them.

I’m not making fun of the workers, I’m making fun of the Dem politicians passing these “hero pay” ordinances. You knew this, of course, but you have an agenda. Either that or you’re remarkably dumb.

Do you own or run a business? I look forward to your answer.

I swear I read this same story at least a month ago

I thought we were all in this together?

Most here don't know what that word means. They just throw it around anytime something vaguely liberal pops up

That is incredibly racist.

In the compilation video, Sanders can be heard calling himself a "socialist," praising the Soviet Union's cultural programs, which, he says, "go far beyond what we do in [the United States]," and arguing that China and its leadership have made "more progress in addressing extreme poverty than any country in the history of civilization."
He can also be heard celebrating Fidel Castro's revolution in Cuba, the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, and refusing to denounce Nicolas Maduro's reign in Venezuela.

Wait until we implement a $15 minimum wage in low cost markets like Mississippi

Maybe they aren’t, but I have seen grown men literally cry just because Walmart was out of one thing or another they REALLY wanted.

The great thing about capitalism, you can drive down the road to a competitor.

Hilarious how the Kroger CEO gets an increase in pay (already making millions to begin with) during COVID and no one gives a shite. Yet workers who are making minimum wage want a few more dollars an hour and the OT makes fun of them.
Such a lack of empathy.
CEO probably got an increase in pay because he knows when to shut down under-performing locations. It's a damn good time when politicians pass a law that makes local stores bleed money.

Imagine using an edited video relased by The Blaze as an argument
Go look at his policies and listen to his speeches instead of some shite propaganda video released on Glenn Beck's website
