Out off all the shite I've done, only time I've ever woke up in jail and didn't know how I got there was on Xanax and booze.

Usually it's the alcohol not the drugs that kill. On ecstasy, acid and other hallucinogens liquor has almost no effect. So people drink more than their bodies can process.
We use these examples to tighten restrictions on drugs but it's alcohol that is the killer.
ETA, not advocating. Saying that it wasn't the drug in that case. Someone else said Xanax, I didn' see that. Yes Benzos should not be mixed with liquor, or other drugs. Xanax has got to a lot of people.. The withdrawals from it are more akin to heroin than any other drug I have seen people kick. Gives seizures if not weaned off and so on.

Xanax and alcohol both affect the Central Nervous System and both removed by the same pathway of the liver. So that combo can definitely be playing with fire

In Florida during the early 2000s, xanex were everywhere. I couldn't go to a bar and talk to a woman, without her asking about xanex bars or coke. It made it easy to get laid. But it was fricked up. It was a big reason why I left that shite hole. I'm surprised it took this long to reach baton rouge.

I wasn't referring to Xanax in my post, I specifically said Hallucinogens not benzos, in reference to someone mentioning X and liquor. I was just saying the reason why hallucinogens and liquor are bad is that the hallucinogens take away your ability to feel drunk. You can drink straight liquor like it was water on some.

i have been prescribed it it by a great psychiatrist for yrs....never abused and usually take lower than full dose, but it goes along with my anti depressants and helps the anxiety....too many youngsters are getting into it and giving a necessary med a bad name by abusing it!

I have liver damage because of mixing oxycodone/oxycontin with liquor in high school.
