It will help prevent it, talked to my PCP this week about it, he has only seen 1 positive Flu test this season in his clinic and says ER is about the same, said that the COVID precautions ( MASK, distancing, super clean handles, etc, should help prevent)

Because wearing masks and social distancing is better at stopping the spread of the flu than Covid.

The CDC stopped tracking flu. The symptoms of flu and covid are pretty much the same. Wearing masks does jack shite all for either virus because people don't wear them correctly or have the correct material. So get fricked with that nonsense.

Our hospital has added covid to the RPP panel recently. Basically it’s a respiratory pathogen panel that includes (now) covid, influenza a/b, rhinovirus, etc.

Not sure what to say to people thinking influenza is being labeled Covid. It’s a different test.

We have all been wearing flu blocking masks by mistake...we should have been wearing covid blocking masks...apparently the masks are selective in which virus they will block.

No, so basically you can take the typical flu season numbers and deduct those from the Covid-19 cases. Covid-19 and seasonal flu strains produce very similar symptoms that can't be distinguished without specific testing which in itself has a significant error factor.
