I keep seeing this argument about why flu doesn't exist anymore but I don't quite understand the logic.
Why would those precautions you mentioned stop the flu spread but not covid?
My understanding is they are both viruses spread through the air. Why would the precautions stop 1 and not the other?

One is more contagious than the other. I’ll leave it as an exercise to the class to figure out which one.

Most responsible adults I know get the yearly flu vaccination, so no I don’t know anyone that had had the flu yet this season.

Two downvotes for the truth - let me add this as well
My husband has also never had the flu shot or the flu, and he did not catch the H1N1 in Disney that year we went.
