The only good thing about puppies being so expensive is it kept idiots from impulse buying them. Now idiots will impulse buy dogs for social media likes and clicks.

How do I get a job as a dog repo guy

Not if you think about it; how many people in this country haven't saved $1000 towards retirement?

That insane but I’m not shocked people do this.

The amount of otherwise sane people I know who don't understand the cost of debt as anything more than "how much a month?" is kind of disheartening.

I while back I heard an interview with a the head of a local shelter, where he was asked what would he advise people to do to help the high # of abandoned dogs, and he said "stop giving them to people as gift". People just dont think about the costs of care left on the person who is receiving the pet.

A coworker allowed his wife to do this shite. Some kind of bullshite dog like a Pomeranian or something. I flat out told him his wife(and him for allowing that shite) are dumbasses. His response was that the dog came with a warranty I told him that's why stupid people are poor and walked off.

Would rather get a rescue dog than give that kinda money to someone solely breeding for monetary gain.

I've seen people buy groceries with Visa cards.

They pay them off every month and probably get airline miles.

I pay EVERYTHING on credit card for the points. All you have to do is pay it off each month so you don't get hit with any additional charges from the bank.

there was a story about this by my local news station in Houston. They interviewed and discussed a latino family, somewhere in the NorthEast, who were upset they were having their puppy taken away after missing payments.

at first. I thought, what type of slimy piece of shite leases a puppy and doesn't buy it out right. Especially when they could and should just get a pound mutt. Then i thought, what type of piece of shite would run a business that leases dogs. And puts the innocent animals in this situation by shitty poor and undeserving families.

as a society: we really have to start moving away from subsidizing or allowing payment plans for the every want of the poor and lazy portion of society. food, water, and shelter is all they really need. a dog isn't a necessity.

Are dogs the ultimate depreciating purchase?

Purebred puppy $1,000

Purebred 2 year old dog $0 at the pound

same answer for all questions related dogs: depends on the owner.

a purebred trained hunting dog that runs off and put in a pound.....still worth that

I had trouble finding someone to take my hunting dog for free several years ago. People either want to train their dog themselves or buy one already trained by a professional

Every dog I've bought came with a one year health warranty. I never thought about financing one though, that's dumb.
