Not a bad idea. I wonder if I can finance an English bulldog for 7 years, when it dies in 4 I stop payment and ship them the body.

I guess in a way it could be a good thing.

Because if they figured out after a year that they don’t want the dog, they could just stop paying on it and the finance company would just come get it.

then he'd have to go to a foster home, get auctioned off etc... would be really RUFF on the dog.

When will the sub-prime dog loan bubble collapse? I’m gonna short it

Or the finance companies could change the terms of the loan so it looks like they're not behind on the payments, then bundle the loans and sell them as a low risk investment.

There was a couple on Judge Judy last week who paid $2,700 for a mixed breed that grew bigger than they expected.

They were trying to get a refund and keep the dog.
Judy told them tough shite

I was thinking, who pays $2,700 for a shite eater

Some puppies have a 5 year health and temperament guarantee. Those puppies are expensive. Its not AKC or CKC registered either. No backyard bred dogs. Its worth it if someone has a use for that dog and not just as a pet.

There is no reason to spend $1000 on a dog that only eats and shits either but many people do.

I wouldnt spend that kind of money because I am not home enough to spend time with it. If I was I wouldnt have a problem buying a puppy for a few thousand knowing what I would get out of it. And no I wouldnt finance it either.

This might be the stupidest fricking idea ever (well, I guess it's all relative, because people do some really stupid shite, but).

Seriously, there are several other options out there in which you can get a dog without having to finance it. And if you do have to finance it, you probably shouldn't be adding more expenses in your life (vet visits, food, heartworm medication, if it needs to be groomed, that's not free. Then things like treats, toys, a dog bed).

That makes no sense at all. Wow..
