i had a dartboard up on the cinderblock wall and the darts fricked the walls up to infinity. the RA came in and said i was going to be charged $5 for every blemish in the wall and there were probably 100s. 
the nice lady who cleaned the hall agreed to leave the closet open and we grabbed a can of paint and an old sock and i 'painted' over all the chips i made in the cinderblock and you literally could not see any damage.
he came in with the dorm guy to 'get me' and i will never forget the confused look on his face as he went nose to wall looking for any type of evidence of damage.
i mean..its cinderblock it already has a billion rough spots.

I worked there Nov '07-Jan '08 for the Jindal transition team. They went in and renovated just the 11th floor for that and a few other offices were in there. Rest of the bldg was vacant at the time. Even the cleaned up version left much to be desired. Definitely a strange location for the Governor-Elect's team to be operating out of, never got the full scoop on why there...but State Police had that place on lockdown.

I went in many dorms and I never understood why Kirby Smith was like the projects of the LSU campus. Other dorms might have been tiny, outdated or somehow didn't have A.C., but the others weren't a mountain of shite and piss. I looked at Kirby Smith as more like a prison. But I did hear a lot great stories coming out of there.
