Kirby Smith to be Demolished in Phase 2 of LSU Nicholson Gateway Project

Cedar Hall?
Who the frick is Cedar? Anyone want to bet they are avoiding naming things after LSU alums these days due to current political climate of protesting anyone who might have once done something?
If this is named after a tree and not a person I am going to be pissed at my alma mater.

Usually do place holders for buildings/names until donors make gifts to them. But since this is project is a public-private entity, I doubt anyone is going to donate to a dorm.
Academic Buildings and programs being named are more important and still occur.

I'll believe it when I see it. I remember hearing talk of it being torn down when I was staying there as a freshman in 2001.

Future students will never have the privilege of climbing 10 floors of piss covered stairs because the piss covered elevator isn't working again.
They should keep Kirby Smith up and let freshman and sophomores in high school visit as an incentive to do well enough in school to get into the Honors College.

In 96-97 there was shite in there all the time. Starting to wonder if it was LSU res life admins doing it to be able to take everyone security deposit
