Some good ones in here.

The smell of a hot ‘76 caprice classic with the dashboard already cracking after 2 years.

A new record.

Old wooden fishing docks.

Firecrackers

Burning leaves

This is a good one. The majority of our dads and grandads all had the pockets with the pipe visible in their shirts or leisure jumpers that we're trendy in the 70's and early 80's. Like Bud's uncle in Urban Cowboy.

The smell of a hot station wagon with vinyl seats in the summer with a/c that didn't work worth a shite.

If you want to reminisce just go to any double wide. I would think they still smell the same as they did in the 70s, 80s, 90s

Bogalusa, the paper mill.

Old joke:

Couple in NOLA kissing passionately> She whispers, "kiss me where it doesn't smell good." He drives her to Bogalusa.

When I was a little kid in the 70s my grandfather burned magnolia tree leaves in a huge metal trash can on the back of his property. I hadn’t smelled that in a long time until recently. It was an amazing quantum leap moment for me.

Frick Dippity Do. My Mama used to lacquer my hair down with that crap and send me off to school looking like a goober.
