I forgot to mention my dads farts.

After dinner we’d be in the tv room watching Fonzie or John Boy or whatever and he’d fart.

Mom would always say ‘that’s disgusting’ and he’d have a little saved in reserve and would fart again right after she said it.

Everyone would laugh except her.

A big ol pissy bush.

It always smelled like strawberries or cherries. Never the real smell.

That elementary school cafeteria smell always takes me back to the mid 80s.

I remember gnawing on my crib rails. I can still taste the varnish.
