Who has successfully kicked the habit this year? I Don't see as many people hanging around doorways at office buildings choking down heaters so far this year. Is it the extremely cold winter or are yall kicking those butts right out of town?!!

Well I try to only drink bourbon in the evenings at work.

I stopped in December. Smoked for about 13 years.
Yes, I'm vaping. But I'm down to 1.5mg nicotine and will be at zero by the end of February.

Is that vaping while fapping?
I'm intrigued.

What is that relative to cigarettes?

Amazing people still smoke habitually in 2018

I quit cold turkey on Mardi Gras day last year. Almost on a year and no smoking! No vaping either. I'm pretty excited to make a year, although it feels like it has been forever.
Good luck!

I've cut down from 1-1.5 packs a day to a pack every 3 or 4 days. I'm too much of a pussy to quit cold turkey.

I just 2 weeks ago quit after 25 years. My daughter asked me to quit so I took a pinch from a full can and gave her the can to throw away.
Its tough because everyday I want one but in another few weeks I probably wont miss it.

I don't smoke, but I've noticed that very few people in Houston smoke. It's even less common than in Los Angeles.
I hadn't thought about it at all until earlier this week when the person to my right at a stoplight was smoking, and I realized that I hadn't seen someone smoking in traffic in a long time. And if I go to a bar, there's usually at most 1-2 people outside.

With the pen that I'm using I'm told it's comparable to 25% of the nicotine you'd get from smoking a pack a day. It's probably less than that for me because I'm down to only really using the pen a couple times a day.

I quit in December. Had bronchitis, followed by the flu.
Cured me.
Cured me.

Tony Gwynn suggests that's not a great idea.

A little less than a month in on deployment I woke up one morning and it was like a flip had switched in my head. I had smoked maybe 8 hours prior, but since I woke up that day almost two months ago, I haven't had a single urge, relapse, and even hate the smell now. It's weird.
I'm glad I kicked it though. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I've smoked a couple in the two months since I put them down (Literally two). The taste and smell is horrible once you've gotten used to not smelling like an a-hole all day.
