Keurig is good for single cups when you don’t have time, and I use my own re-usable cups with loose grounds. When I have a little more time, I’m all about a good pot from my Moka pot. It makes a fantastic pot of coffee in the morning.

This....I'm retired, and just drink 2 cups a day. One at 6 and one around 10 or so.
Brewing a pot is not a good option.

That's the beauty of the French press. You make a cup at a time and it doesn't taste like liquid plastic.

And is much more of a hassle.

No one is arguing that Keurig will make a better cup than a French Press.

If you want quality it takes effort, if you want easy go instant. I would argue Nescafé instant coffee is better than Keurig coffee.

For me it's worth it to take the extra step to add hot water and coffee grinds in a press then pour into a cup.

Something about the convenience of and the plastic cups being heated up makes me question the health of keurig.

With a keurig, the water and coffee grounds aren’t in contact for long enough to extract maximum flavor and caffeine. Give me a regular Mr Coffee if I have to choose between the two

Up your coffee pot game with a moccamaster machine with thermos. Old school coffee pots cook the coffee on the burner and ruins flavor

Much better than French press and right below a true expresso . However IMO, grinding fresh beans is the most important factor in an exceptional cup of coffee.

I’ve got a 6 cup and a 9 cup, but I really would like a 12 cup as well. They’ve just been out of stock lately where I’ve been checking. I’m in no rush, but you are so right about Moka pots. While I love coffee out of a French press, there’s something about pressurizing coffee grounds that delivers on a truly robust cup of coffee. Leave it to the Italians to hit it out the park with that invention.

My last 3 coffee makers have been Cuisinart 12 cup machines.

I am old school and only drink CDM Coffee & Chickory and make it strong. I set it every night to come on at 5:45 and use a standard size mug that holds the equivalent of 2 cups out of the pot. I usually drink 3-4 mugs and the wife will have 1 while getting ready for work.

After her mom died she got her Keurig and we just gave it away. Damn pods are expensive for what they are when compared to buying ground coffee by the bag. Besides, neither of us liked the coffee from the Keurig.

Coffee Pot hands down. Might take a little more effort for clean up but it is worth it for flavor.
