Exactly why if you have a chance to kill an armed robber, you do so without hesitation. They have shown no regard for your life and might take it even if you comply.

If they get the death penalty they will be around for another 30 or 40 years. This state is extremely slow in executing people that are on death row. I have an honest question: did Louisiana ever execute the guy who killed those people at the Calenders Restaurant over thirty years ago? The poor girl that he killed was heard pleading for her life. She was the manager there.

I honestly don’t know if there is a deterrent that will make a difference to some of these cats. Ask anybody whose worked in the crim justice biz. The ability to comprehend and reason like normal people is just not there. They really don’t think beyond the next 5 min of life. Death penalty, life, 50 years locked up..doesn’t matter cause it never crossed their mind.
