In fact they are so useful the ACLU is backing off the push to have PO's use them.

I've often felt that cameras would do more to show the police are doing the right thing, then they would show police doing the wrong thing.

Do I have sympathy for a drug dealer who fled cops and then started jumping fences and died in a struggle with multiple police officers? No. I don't.

you dont need to sympathize with him

if we stop holding cops accountable for killing people that commit a crime, where is the line drawn? A dimebag of weed? Jay walking? Tax evasion?

This time, it looks like protests will be appropriate. The fact that he was a drug dealer

Can't wait to see his baby pictures and a picture of his high school cap and gown and no pictures at all of him as an adult drug dealer.

Right, and even lately they have, thus the ACLU changing their tone.

If I'm an officer, I'm making damn sure I work for a department with body cameras. I want as much evidence to be used in my defense as possible.

Yes. Really, none, ever, in a department that has tasers.

Again, you're missing the point or purposefully obscuring it, this did not happen because he committed a crime.

Did you read the article? From your comments it seems like to believe the cops executed him on his knees at point blank range for committing a crime.

He was accidentally killed in a struggle with multiple officers after fleeing arrest and resisting

The argument from inside departments against them was mainly having to maintain and use more equipment that could distract during a potentially risky situation. As others have said, they've actually helped combat narratives more so than they've shown cop wrongdoing. Most departments have changed their tune because of that.

You're cool with going under cover in plain clothes while wearing a body camera?

On what Police show on television did you watch and saw undercover cops carrying around tasers? Jeez you sound very intelligent.

, your reading comprehension is embarrassing.

I said I'd make sure I worked for a department with body cameras. I didn't say undercover cops should wear them.
