don't know if it has been mentioned, but what if the suspect was swallowing the evidence(drugs) when he was subdued by the pursuing officers...hence for the soft tissue damage from choking

I didn't realize you were a bleeding heart pussy hat wearer. What happened to you?

I have no problem with police putting fleeing and resisting drug dealers in choke holds to cuff them
It sounds like they were sitting on the guy, while they also had a knee or hand on his throat. If they had a knee or hand on his throat, they were looking at him in the face and watching him die. He passed out, and they continued to choke him.
That's extremely excessive since they all carry tasers. They could've just tagged him instead of choking him to death. He's definitely not gonna sit still and let someone choke him. I know I wouldn't

Would you check the cops knuckles before deciding?

you're one of these types that think a cop can do no wrong...aren't you?
if so then I dont have any more questions.

I've taken no sides here other than saying that his crimes didn't warrant his death unless he was still fighting on the ground. Like I've said several times, we don't know that yet.

I'm too lazy to run bruh. This wouldn't have happened to me

Then you don't know the definition of the word.

Don't be a technical dick, TH. You know what I meant. I don't see a law that was broken.

I'm missing your point here.
It can still be a justifiable homicide. Homicide doesn't mean murder. And he could've been struggling to breath.

Then say what you mean. Don't get mad at me because you used the word incorrectly.

I've never seen a report that references "struggle" to mean "struggling to breath". FFS.

What are you doing? Taking what I said about an incident, and then combining that with what I said about not letting someone choke me to death?
If you'd let someone choke you to death, I question your judgment on other things dealing with life and death

quote:I used it correctly, but it was too vague for you since homicide, as you admitted, can also mean murder. You're being obtuse just to be an arse.

Technically you are right. The homicide happened here:
quote:
He stopped breathing during that struggle, Lopinto said.

You're being dense and just calling me a dick for whatever reason. Use your words better, that's not me being a dick.
Struggling to breath can look just the fricking same as struggling to get free because they're basically the same thing. It's not like a cop is going to say in his report "yeah he was struggling to breath so I kept my weight on him."
