I used it correctly, but it was too vague for you since homicide, as you admitted, can also mean murder. You're being obtuse just to be an arse.

What? You said you see no homicide here. That's 100% false. That's not me being obtuse, it's you using the wrong word and now trying to blame that on me for not reading your mind to know you meant murder, not homicide.

Are you serious with this shite?

A murder is a homicide but not all homicides are murder. What you said was wrong.

You would think if he was hopped up on drugs, the announcement today would have said that.

I guess the tox report will confirm.

So you can't distinguish between the two, yet it's what you're basing your whole argument on? You were acting like it's something that will be released... "we don't know that yet".

How do you know this was a mistake? You've seen all the evidence? A line on a corners report about possible soft tissue damage possibly consistent with a choke hold is enough for you to declare this whole thing a mistake by police?

There is no situation where a choke hold is warranted.

Add in the fact that JPSO refuses body cams.

I'm not saying throw the cops under the jail... they have a right to defend themselves... this looks bad though.

No judge or jury weighed evidence and then ruled this a homicide.

The coroner is indeed the one who rules a homicide.

All homicide means is that the death was caused by another.

Judge and jury will decide if anyone should be held to account for this.

It was in reference to the fricking title, for frick's sake, TH. I wasn't trying to check through the technicalities because I didn't think it was so important to you. I'll be better next time. Did the OP trigger you, too?

Seeing as the only info we really have is an autopsy yes, more details will be released and an investigation will try to determine what happened. You think they're just gonna take this autopsy and render a verdict tomorrow?

I'm talking about your specific comment not the autopsy. The autopsy isn't going to tell anyone whether he was trying to breath or trying to get away.

They don't but these were street detectives and would not be wearing one anyway.

Yeah I'm the triggered one. Not you, who can't just admit you used the wrong word. You have to cry and call me a dick.

So you'll be waiting a long time if that info is what you're going to base your conclusion on.

This time, it looks like protests will be appropriate. The fact that he was a drug dealer doesn't take away the fact that he was human. Apparently the evidence here points to unjustified killing of a human being.

Would they not wear them because it would throw off their undercover nature?

I get that... but I would think if anything, the fact that they are undercover would be even more of a reason for the need to have video evidence.

Didn't say that either.

The only person who could ever say if the struggle was to breath or not would be the person who is dead.

Likely nothing will come of this.

Yep, that's why.

Cameras are very useful though, no argument from me. In fact they are so useful the ACLU is backing off the push to have PO's use them.

How did you get that impression? Of course cops can and have done wrong.

Do I have sympathy for a drug dealer who fled cops and then started jumping fences and died in a struggle with multiple police officers? No. I don't.
