Im keeping mine home. He was showing some minor fever this weekend. Seems fine this morning, but why risk it?

If he gets sick a lot look into Igg3 deficiency.

How is it not normal for 2 year olds to be sick when they are constantly around other 2 year olds?

Gonna have to disagree here. Kids are germ factories, they're going to get each other sick. My kid is healthy as an ox but winds up sick every 2 months or so. It's probably a net positive, by the time they get to kindergarten they should have a hell of an immune system

A few years ago our (only) kid has some serious health issues. He had a rare disorder that was potentially life threatening. Fortunately, he never developed the life threatening complications, even though we missed the treatment window. But we went to the children's hospital more time in those two months that his previous 7 years of life (at that time). It was very scary and we had many sleepless nights during that time. Thank the good lord everything was ok. But we will have yearly follow ups the cardiologist for years.

I mean he has not had any serious illnesses, but I agree its not the daycare its being around other two year olds who constantly put everything in their mouth.
He is a perfectly happy, healthy little kid, he just gets sick sometimes. It just feels like a lot when he is home for days because he can't go back until he's fever free for 24 hours with no meds.
I took him into daycare while we to the vet and then picked him up. Daycare was about half full so looks like I wasn't the only person. Even the teachers were like if it was my kid I wouldn't have him here. So nice to feel like I'm not just overreacting.

Nope, my wife should get the thumbs up to work from home sometime today. Once that happens, our son won't be going to daycare either until she goes back.

He is a great sleep most of the time. He naps from about 12-2:30 which is a great time to get a lot of work knocked out.

I love daycare: I haven't had to change a poo diaper in a month.
They took every child's temperature this morning at drop off. That, along with the lack of any deaths in children, makes me feel comfortable about continuing to take her to daycare.
