Danette Colbert, 48, is known as the 'Bourbon Street Hustler' by New Orleans locals and has a sordid criminal history going back to at least 2012

She was also arrested in 2014 for some "hood rat stuff"

The NOPD has identified 37-year-old Danette Colbert as the person wanted in connection with a theft and access-device fraud.

About 4 a.m. Nov. 4, 2014, a 35-year-old man was walking on Bourbon Street when Colbert approached and invited him to hang out with her, police said. He agreed and they went to his hotel room in the 600 block of St. Charles Avenue.

The victim went to sleep and upon waking up discovered Colbert was gone, along with his Rolex watch valued at $4,000, his credit cards and $100 in cash.

Police said they later learned that Colbert had fraudulently used the victim’s credit cards about 20 times at businesses in the 4600 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A woman was arrested last week for allegedly driving nearly 100 miles per hour in a south Las Vegas valley school zone, according to an arrest report.

Danette Colbert was taken into custody after being stopped near Steve Schorr Elementary School, in the area of Bermuda Road and Starr Avenue, on Friday, Aug. 12.

In an arrest report, police say a motorcycle officer saw a Ford Mustang speeding west on Starr. The officer used his radar gun to clock the Mustang at 97 mph, nearly four times the posted school zone limit of 25 mph.

and another Vegas arrest!

A New Orleans woman charged with drugging a man and stealing $50,000 in cash from him on the Strip in January was arrested in a similar theft Saturday.

Danette Colbert, 45, was first arrested by Las Vegas police in a Jan. 17 theft at Wynn Las Vegas. A man reported to police that he invited two women he met in a bar to his hotel room, according to an arrest report. He later woke up in his room with a bloody nose and discovered that $50,000 cash, a Rolex watch worth $30,000, $11,000 in casino chips, his iPhone 11, a Louis Vuitton luggage bag worth $5,000 and a satchel valued at $2,000 were all missing.

The man said he made drinks for the women in his room but gave one woman $200 to leave because she was rude. The last thing he remembers, the report said said, is walking the woman to the door of the room.

Damn. Where this happen at? What kind of places? Do you still drink in public?

One was alumni weekend at college, some alumnus handed me and some girls shots. I was already pretty drunk but for some reason I felt weirded out because I wasn't really friends with this person when they were at school so I don't know why they decided to buy me and these girls shots. So I'll never forget I decided to ask "what's in this?" "don't worry just drink it".... I did. Woke up with a naked girl on my bedroom floor in my blankets with my vomit, and me naked in my bed with a towel on. All the other girls in the circle who had those shots were sick as shite too we all skipped the formal that evening.

The second time was in New Orleans at Monkey Hill. I had a girlfriend at the time had been living here like a year after I graduated college.

I was standing in my gf's friend circle talking to them when one of her friends returned from ordering at the bar with a Bud Light and a weird look on her face. My gf asked her "what's wrong"... she replies "I don't know.... this guy bought me this beer, and I don't know it's weird I don't want to drink it." I reached out "frick it! Give it here I'll drink it!"..... woke up at my friend's house spare bedroom I'm not sure why my gf didn't take me home but couldn't get out of bed from 9am when I awoke to about 8pm when she came to pick me up. I was suffling down the stairs and to her car even at that point like a literal zombie.

shite is real, it fricks you up. Like an ambien or a xanax but on steroids.

Adan Manzano's wife died in a crash last April. The couple leaves behind a toddler... our thoughts are with the family and our Telemundo station.

Kid doesn't stand a chance. I've seen divorce turn a good kid into eventual drug user when older. I feel bad for some toddler growing up without parents.

I've never met an adopted kid turn out okay. I know an upper class family that adopted a kid and had one natural. The adopted one was dating 35 yr old black men while 18, got knocked up young, the conceived kid was valedictorian. This was a respected family, dad owned a law firm.

There is utter devastation to a kids mental development having to face the reality that your biological parents did not want you. In my experience, it never leaves them into old age.

Why I always get a styrofoam cup WITH a lid. It's way to easy for someone to drop something in an open top mixed drink.

I wholeheartedly agree with the cinder block to the head poster.

That chick is pure evil and now completely fricked his kid in the process. Very sad story.

I’m guessing they have to get blood results to see what was in his system. Then will charge her with murder. It’s going to be hard to prove though.

She’ll be right back out there doing the same thing soon enough.

Good look for New Orleans.

This is a bad look. Yes, it can happen in any big city…but this time it’s New Orleans. The general public isn’t going to take the time to dig around, they’ll see the headline and go back to “NO is a shithole”.

Ive chimed in here before about how the people doing the drugging of the drinks will drug a dude just the same as drugging the girl. He might drug you to get you out of the way. He might drug you to rob you. He might drug you for the hell of it.

Might drug the guy to rape him
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynhard_Sinaga?wprov=sfti1
quote:

Reynhard “Rey” Tambos Maruli Tua Sinaga (born 19 February 1983) is an Indonesian-British serial rapist who was convicted of 159 sex offences, including 136 rapes of young men, committed in Manchester, England, between 2015 and 2017, where he was living as a student. Sinaga was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting 48 men during this period, 44 of whom he raped, some repeatedly, although police believe he was offending for years beforehand.

… Sinaga lived in a flat in central Manchester which acted as a base for his assaults. He would wait for men leaving nightclubs and bars before leading them to his flat, often offering them somewhere to have a drink or call a taxi. Giving them a drugged drink, believed to have been spiked with GHB, Sinaga would then assault the victims while they were unconscious and video the attack with a mobile phone. He rarely used condoms when penetrating his victims; despite this, he was found negative for sexually transmitted infections upon his arrest.

At the time his sentence was announced in January 2020, almost all of Sinaga's victims were known to have been heterosexual young men, with three exceptions. He saw "turning" heterosexual men as a sport. Of one victim in January 2015, who had argued with his girlfriend in the Factory nightclub near Sinaga's home, he told a WhatsApp group: "SuperRey saves straight boys from their monstrous girlfriend."

Our justice system is an absolute failure.

How many times must a person prove that they cannot be rehabilitated before we simply accept that some people are not fit for society?

A hooker with a lengthy criminal history of very similar crimes, only this time, the guy dies. A criminal that, for whatever reason, New Orleans, or the State has repeatedly decided she is safe to be in public and she has repeatedly shown she has not. Sorry, but this is a reflection on the State and City.
