I've never met an adopted kid turn out okay

My girlfriend was adopted at age 9 from an orphanage in Siberia by an incredible, fiery southern woman from Athens, AL who had just become a widow. She's a successful RN, and has no mental problems. She convinced her mom to adopt her best friend a year after she was. She is a teacher. Theyve been sisters ever since. Both of them are very "okay."

Really?

Not to mention, people can have a biological kid that turns out the same way.

Yeah, the legal system of the state and city has blood on their hands for this one.

It's a black eye for New Orleans. I know the French Quarter is a snake den, but a lot of out-of-towners still think it's an easy place to get laid or get high. There's a mystique about New Orleans that's totally at odds with the reality of the place, and shite like this definitely threatens that mystique.

Ha. I think that IS the mystique to New Orleans. Only the naive don’t understand how dangerous it can be. New Orleans has the vibrant side that’s clouded in darkness, crime, and a seedy underworld. The Quarter is the center of that world. Stay on Bourbon, watch your back (and your drinks), and have a good time. But you step down the wrong alley, turn left instead of right, leave your drink and a friend unattended for one minute, and all hell can break loose.

Honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking getting tanked beyond belief out there and stumbling back down Canal to a hotel at 4AM.

Coast guard pulled into Alamaeda with $500M worth seized in June which was close to 30 tons, so I’d say yes

Two there. Victims didn't want to testify.

More than one incident in NO.

The WWNFLOL needs to never have their Footballmania event in this cesspool of a city again.

I’ve told people everywhere I’ve been, you don’t frick around in NOLA. Everyone acts hard in all these other cities but NOLA is really on a different scale when it comes to violence.

If you aren’t from Louisiana and don’t know where you are going you went to far. I promise.

Where was the guy staying? I had an employee who had never stayed in New Orleans booked a hotel in the east for the TS concert. Rates were much cheaper and it was all her friends could afford. I told her hell no and comped her a room at Loews.

It made me realize that tourists who have never been here see rates in the east and say "wow half price than downtown and ten minutes away. Book it!"

You might be more retardeder than the Reporter who trusted a French Quarter prostitute.

Too bad Nola doesn’t have a Dexter- perfect target, and the track record in here shows this is no one-off.

Stories like these and the speculation is bad publicity for cocaine. Is it possible the Chinese are trying to economically destroy the Colombians by supplying the Mexicans fentanyl chemicals at the expense of American lives?
