What's crazy is that if she came on here or went by official guidelines she would have never been tested.

That's why I suspect this thing is much more prevalent than we think because the symptoms vary so much. We have been told if you are stuffy and have a fever it almost assuredly is not COVID-19. That is exactly what her symptoms were and she was over it in a day.

My family is going through something that mirrors her symptoms to a tee, but no doctor is going to say we should get tested right now. We will just hunker down in the off chance it is COVID-19.

Talk to people that work in the hospitals. My fiance, who is a director of nursing, called me very upset because of the situations these nurses are having to go through. Their supplies is so thin. Cases are increasing. This could very well overwhelm the health system.

What if she came into contact with an older loved one and they died because she decided oh it’s not that bad and infected someone that it would be that bad for.

How is that any different if she did this when she had the flu?
That is how so many elderly people die of the flu every year, b/c healthy people catch it and continue to go about their daily lives and give it to other people.

Nice try. I have two little kids and no social life.

Now refute what I actually said. You can’t.

Talk to people who work in the drainage departments "This flood will overwhelm our canals and pipe systems"

Talk to people who work in highway engineering: This evacuation from hurricane will overwhelm our highway capacity"

A system can get overwhelmed in an event. I think it is fricky to destroy an entire economy over it.

Those comparisons would work if the government could stop the rain or hurricane so that the impact to the drainage or highway system is lessened.

Most of the symptoms she described leading up to her diagnosis do not match the usual stuff we're being warned about. She's talking about a runny nose, congestion, headache, etc.

The health system is one aspect of life, it's not everything. I'm not saying we shouldn't make sacrifices to "flatten the curve", but there has to be a balance. Every decision can't be made solely on the basis of whether or not it lowers the probability of hospitals being overrun.
