We can't stop Hurricanes man. We can help limit the spreading of a virus.

So quarantine all over 60 and with underlying health issues.

You would literally have to quarantine almost 50% of the population anyway. Most of which would likely be in the "it doesn't affect me because I'm young and healthy" crowd. Care to know why?

Yes let’s kill granny and your neighbor recovering from cancer so you can hit the bars this weekend

I have a 64-year-old mother and a cousin dying of cancer so I am all for reducing the spread but the serious question is why can't those people self-quarantine instead of us mortgaging the entire future of the country?

I am being genuine when asking FWIW.

Who's saying we should get rid of the health system?

If this quarantine (and stricter measures) stays in place for months, or if JBE and ilk close our borders and effectively kill commerce, that will definitely be worse than just taking the chance that some hospitals will be overwhelmed for some short period of time.

I wouldn't be saying that if this virus was deadlier or if we had indications our leaders were taking a balanced view of things.

I think the short version is because people won't listen. See the Tracy's block party and 300+ person church gathering.

I spiked a mild fever and felt bad last night. Then it went away. The thing is I have had sinus issues for a month off and on. It made me seriously contemplate how I would handle it considering a lot of folks will get it at some point. I felt strangely calm after the thinking about it last night.

Do the best you can and for most of us it will be a nasty cold. It’s a wonderful time with pollen and allergies and...geez colds and other flu. Lol

How many people on here have some sort of cold or allergies and have had a case of the “what if’s”?

A lot of you people of privilege are acting like this virus is no big deal. Did you know that lgbt people are at greater risk of catching it because it’s spread through poop?

Well in short...F those people.

My mom is in her house and staying there. If she was out partying, and something happened, it would be her fault for not doing what was in her best interest.

At some point, we have to stop hurting the majority in order to protect the ignorant few.

JMO and I know not many will agree

She was sick for about a day and if she didn’t know it was Covid-19 she would have gone through her daily life as normal. Sounds like she had a bad cold.

She got featured on national daytime TV with Robin Roberts. Her twitter is getting tons of hits and views. Getting this virus will be the best thing to ever happen to her career, and she knows it.

Yea good point. IDK.

There has to be an answer to this scenario, though.
