There is a VERY plausible theory for cancer that is well accepted as being the biggest reason for the spike and it is because of lack of early detection during COVID when people weren't going to their standard appointments like mammograms, pap smears, colonoscopies, etc.

Early detection is the most powerful weapon against cancer after living a healthy lifestyle and it was taken away from us for too long.

That's pretty stupid and can't believe it's 7-0 upvote to downvote.

The media & chat forums have been going wild with speculation. Many saying she was dead. Some saying in medically induced coma. Some saying Prince William had her killed so he could be with that girl he cheated with a while back —blah blah blah.

For the sake of her kids, especially Charlotte, the oldest, she had no choice. She had to make an announcement and show proof of life and give an explanation to shut everyone up.

People adore her. It is what it is. She’s a Royal. She’s not regular Joe in Iowa. She is who she is. I’m sure right about now she wishes she was regular Catherine in Iowa….

It's not anymore tragic for her than it is for anyone else on the planet.

But she has so much more to live for - namely the the $1.2 billion she and William just inherited upon Liz's death. Just their small part of the fortune obtained through centuries of the British Empire invading foreign lands and murdering it's native peoples.

Refusing to get the experimental mRNA Covid vaccines despite unprecedented coersion and despite great personal cost is the epitome of critical thinking IMO.

Congrats in the acquisition of future HOF QB and dynamic playmaker Justin Fields, btw

"It's crazy how common cancer is becoming for young people. Scary times."

I can't imagine what would be the cause of this.

Then I'll attempt to educate you. In 1990 the world population was 5,300,000,000 people. In 2019 the world population was over 7,700,000,000. In 1990, there was 1.82 million cases of early-onset cancer. In 2019 there was 3.26 million cases. This was prior to any covid-19 shot. So, had you responded to this thread in 2019, you'd said, "it's crazy how common cancer is becoming in young people". That's a huge increase in cases however it's also a huge increase in population.

You also have technology and stats at your fingertips now that wasn't available 20-30 years ago so you hear about it more. Guess what, unless there's a cancer vaccine or cure, you'll continue to see an increase in early-onset cases because the world population will continue to increase. This increase isn't covid vax driven but you're welcome to believe whatever you want. I just gave you hard facts not some Twitter bullshite to get clicks.

We can revisit this thread in 20 years and I'd bet there's been a huge increase in early-onset cases....probably around 5 million at that point. It's just math.

It’s not stupid and has definitely had an impact. It’s not necessarily the only reason for the increase though.

Possibly but not necessarily.

My toddler refuses to do things all the time, and that little dick can’t even read.

people should be allowed to choose their own time to announce when they have a cancer/health issue in their family.

“People” can. But people who make their living off of being famous have to take the good with the bad.

Unless you are old teammates with Kurt Schilling you should be able to announce or not announce what ailment you have.
