She's a rare ray of sunshine in a dark world. Hope she makes a full recovery.

The Queen, at one point, could use emergency powers to completely dissolve parliament and have it reseated. The monarchy still possesses some powers, though it's limited to what's drawn up by parliament. Like I said, it's confusing as hell and I'm not fully up to date on the monarchy's current power

The monarchy haven't dismissed a law in over a hundred years, their role and powers are purely symbolic. If Charles just dissolved parliament on a whim then that would be the end of it.

The monarchy exists now for tourism, not governing

Why do a thousand people feel compelled to come to a thread they insist they don't care about to post that they don't care about it?

Sad someone like that gets cancer when Pelosi and Schumer deserve it.
if you understood the truth, it would make perfect sense.

Because they erroneously believe people care about their opinion. It always makes me laugh at them because they look so darn silly contrary to their beliefs about themselves and their posts.

I hope Kate recovers for her sake and her family's.

Then I'll attempt to educate you. In 1990 the world population was 5,300,000,000 people. In 2019 the world population was over 7,700,000,000. In 1990, there was 1.82 million cases of early-onset cancer. In 2019 there was 3.26 million cases. This was prior to any covid-19 shot. So, had you responded to this thread in 2019, you'd said, "it's crazy how common cancer is becoming in young people". That's a huge increase in cases however it's also a huge increase in population.

So based on that increase in population, we would have expected 2.64 million cases in 2019, rather than 3.26 million cases. Granted, maybe there were also probably more cases detected in 2019 due to improved technology. But the change was greater than expected based solely on population increase.

The only population number that matters when talking about early cancer are people young enough to get early cancer. Total population is irrelevant, only the population of young people matters. And of course if you have a population boom the increase in percentage of young people is going to be dramatically higher than the percent of total population growth.
