She kind of looks mannish (with the exception to the fake lips).
Some women pull it off. I don't think it works for her.

Simple solution: park next to the cart return corral/stall.

I like to grab a loose cart, carry it into the store. On exit I leave it loose for the next smart person.

When my kids were young, I parked next to the cart corral. Put ‘em in, shop, then put the groceries in the trunk, kids in the car with their door open, cart in the corral. Shut their door & open mine.
It’s just not that difficult!

just walk the kids to the cart return with you. This ain’t complex. The parent walked the children into the store before getting a cart…
This. Plus you teach your kids to not be lazy and return their carts when they're adults.

I saw this, and all the other moms agreeing and all the ones not.
Looks it's not that difficult to push the cart back with your kids in it, park near a cart return, if the ones near the store are full, park in the back of the lot.
It is just pure laziness and I use it as a judge of character in people on of they return their cart or not.
If you do, you are a decent person. If you don't and are physically able you're a lazy pos.

I agree with you on this. I worked with a guy who liked telling everyone his wife is a doctor. He would never mention that she was a Doctor of Psychology.

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio June 4, 2024— A 3-year-old boy was fatally stabbed by a woman as he sat in a grocery cart in a supermarket parking lot. Investigators said Tuesday that they believe it was a random attack.
The boy's mother also was stabbed, but her injuries were not life-threatening, said Sgt. Matt Beck, a detective with North Olmsted police.
Officers arrested 32-year-old Bionca Ellis, of Cleveland, while she was walking away from the scene with a knife in her hand on Monday, police said. She was being held on a charge of aggravated murder.
Ellis was inside the Giant Eagle grocery when she saw the boy and his mother near the front of the store and then followed them into the parking lot in North Olmsted, a Cleveland suburb, Beck said.
The boy's mother was about to load her groceries into her vehicle when Ellis ran at them with a knife, stabbing both of them, police said. The boy later died at a hospital.
The county medical examiner identified the boy as 3-year-old Julian Wood. His mother, Margot Wood, was treated at a hospital, police said. Investigators said Ellis had no known previous interactions with the mother and her son.
Calls to a listing for Ellis went unanswered Tuesday. It was not clear whether she has an attorney.
North Olmsted Mayor Dailey Jones released a statement on the incident saying, in part, "our hearts go out to the two victims of what appears to be a random act of violence."

I did that when my kids were little.
I do it now when I shop. If I know I'm going to use a shopping cart, park next to where the shopping carts go.
If I do end up parking at the front of the store, I usually end up walking the cart back in when I'm done.

in the case of having small children in a car too hot to not leave running I will make an exception
Why?
If returning a shopping cart to where it belongs is the thing that prevents you from caring for your children, you're probably fricking up raising them anyway.

It may have been GRT but I may just be thinking of her since she has like 50 kids.
I may have said otherwise just to start shite, but above is the truth.

This is a rather stupid nonsequitur. If a mother feels uncomfortable leaving her kids in a vehicle that could be driven away with the kids in it I don't have a problem with cutting her some slack. I would offer to take her cart just like I would a little old lady's. I dislike lazy people that don't return carts but I accept that occasionally people have what they feel are legitimate reasons to not return a cart.
