Kansas Police Officer Shooting

Check out this video of a shooting that occurs after a traffic stop over a seat belt violation. There's a lot to take in here.
1- Cops are seen as douche bags or pricks. Here's a classic example of why they have to be sometimes. The suspect runs roughshod over the polite, professional cop over and over. IMO this leads to the suspect feeling he can impose his will over the cop. Sometimes assertiveness demonstrates you are not to be fricked with and keeps situations from escalating further.
Dude should've been pulled out of the car by his face 30 seconds into this traffic stop. The argument is almost frustrating.
2- It's not wise to make judgments about an entire group of people based on one video, HOWEVER- in my almost two decades of (fed not local/state) law enforcement experience, this type of confrontational interaction is far more prevalent among African-Americans.

As much as I think I’d like to go into law enforcement, I never had any desire to go be any sort of local beat cop because of stuff like this. Could I deal with dangerous assholes who would want to kill me all day? I think so. But doing traffic stops and dealing with complete randos at all times when doing rounds? Man, I feel for them

yea that dude is an a-hole. He escalated that situation with that massive chip on his shoulder. He lives in one of the most liberal cities in the midwest and minority's rights are always at the forefront of every city/county decision. If he'd just acted like a normal, decent, adjusted human being everything would have ended just fine.

Female cop resigned in January. She was charged with aggravated battery. I don't think she was a bad person. She was just a stupid cop.
