The two people they hold up as ground breaking have 0 shared background with those that celebrate them... I.e. neither of them have slaves as ancestors.

When I lived in Montgomery a friend asked me to ride with her to pick up her nephew at one of those cheap places like Supercuts. We went in to get him and I noticed a black female barber working on this teen aged black female. She was threading a needle with what looked like fishing line. She started to thread the girl's hair with the line. I don't know what the result was since we were leaving, but I got chills watching the woman "sewing" that girls hair. I have an honest question to ask so here goes, how do those black females get their hair long and straight like the white girls have? BTW, when did blonde hair become a trend for the black female? I think that a dark African American with blonde hair looks repulsive. There are many whites that would look like crap with blonde hair.

Chemical relaxer and/or a flat iron/hot comb. Depends on how curly their natural hair is to start with. Not all black women have 4C hair.
