That was my go to morning news. They have nothing on right now.

The Lafayette news stations have all pretty much been gutted now. KADN was kind of the last holdout.

Apparently it was part of layoffs from Allen Media, I switched to KADN after KATC shite the bed. Turned it on this morning and it took me a few minutes before I realized they were playing informercials so I figured they may have had a technical issue, did know they'd cut the program entirely.

I matched with that Asian weathergirl that was on there on Tinder before I met my wife. They tried really hard for the last decade to compete with KATC and KFLY. It wasn't a bad newscast, just never caught fire.
A lot of the older people that still watch local news still stick to KAtC and KFLY for the most part.

The TV news is dying. Only older people watch (I include myself)...younger people all get news from phones and other sources. Their ratings all suck compared to years ago.

What KATC puts out and calls it a “newscast” is complete crap. I watched it one time after they changed the format. It’s horrible

I’m old school. I enjoy watching local news but it is a dying thing. Social media has ruined it. Like someone said everything is at the palm of your hand. There’s still a place for local news but just on a smallest scale than it used to be.
