BR & Jackson making Shreveport look like childs play- we're at maybe 65

democrats killing each other daily only further supports their twisted narrative. It’s only when important democrats become victims is when we’ll see any change. I don’t believe we’re too far this scenario if we continue down this path.

There are - Rankin and Madison county. And once you move there you stop caring about what the people in Jackson do to themselves.
This is the damn truth, I just hear about their dumb shite on the news every night.

I think you meant to say Medgareversville, racist

But Jackson has more to offer than any other city in the state. If I had I choice I would choose JXN or Southhaven.
If by more to offer you mean much much higher percentage of being murdered, then yes I agree

Really surprised how Hattiesburg hasn’t taken over as the largest city in the state. It’s very nice and they have a pretty cool university and great golf courses. Good restaurants too.

Urban sprawl. Poor education, Brain drain, poverty, poor leadership. Nothing attractive to outsiders.
The state would be better off abandoning investment in the city and focus on trying to attract more business to NE Mississippi, The Golden Triangle, and Oxford area.
Legalizing weed might help bring some folks back their.
Essentially poverty is the driver of most violent crime. People become trapped in a situation with no education, no father figures, and they resort to criminal enterprises which brings along violence.

I live in Petal right outside of Hattiesburg, moved here from Flowood for my job. Great schools in Petal, but pretty sure we’re going back to Madison or Flowood once the boy goes to college. I gotta disagree on the restaurants here; it’s not even in the same stratosphere of food in the Jackson metro area.

Jxn has a population of 154k and BR has a population of 230k. With LSU, refineries and tons of other businesses, I'd expect BR to be in much better shape than Jxn. Jxn literally has nothing, it's a third world city, there is one uber wealthy enclave (the Eastover area), once those few leave, there will be nothing.
Actually there is now a good number of uber wealthy black people in Jackson, and bigger number of upper middle class black people that almost didn't exist 25 years ago. Even though it has a large ghetto in the south and especially west areas of town, the city is 84 percent black. Black people own the city job market, especially healthcare and now state government positions are over 50 percent.

I know a man who will be 89 years old soon, he left Jackson, MS in the early 1950s and has never looked back - he said it was terrible then
Unless he was black, he's full of shite.

The issue with Jackson, to me, is there aren't as many areas to get away from the crime as there are in Memphis, and from what I remember Baton Rouge and to a lesser extent New Orleans.
Not true. Most of the metro population doesn't live in Jackson.

Houston is on pace for a new record. The Democrat Party is a death cult, and this is what happens when they get control of law enforcement.

Shreveport was the largest Bloods v Crips outside of CA back in the early 90's.
