they will collect 880k of La tax free earnings that they didn't have to contribute to. That's a pretty damn good deal.

Who told you they dont have to contribute to this?

My wife is a teacher and its much more than ss that is taken out for retirement for the state

Also the insurance is shite. She is by herself on the school board insurance and pays nearly 600 a month for shite.

.so whomever told you all this great info is an ignorant bastard.

They have a good retirenent but it is far from free and they pay more into it than most

The trade off is that we don't get a dime in social security.

That depends on the state. In Florida we get to collect SS in addition to our retirement.
Never once complained about being a teacher. New the deal when I signed up for it, and teaching is less than half on my annual income.

Yep. I’m “off” for the summer...starting on Friday. I’ve already started my summer job because they overlap.

And how about if you curse a little less when you’re cooking my Whopper?

And convention and training days where they don’t actually go to the convention and don’t train.

They have lengthened the school days and extended the school year. They need to get rid of these breaks and have school from late August until early May.

Is this the thread where teachers complain about how much time they spend preparing for classes when 99% of curriculums are the same every year.

You're a literal retard if you think this. It's a defined benefit plan which is way more expensive to the employer, hence why they essentially don't exist outside of government anymore.
