I actually tried to order from Zorba's tonight, but when I called, I got a very sad sounding Dino on voicemail saying that they were closed
I got a very similar message when I called Fleur De Lis pizza earlier today.

Overpass Merchant yesterday - took a minute to get through on the phone but keep trying! This place is worth supporting and saving.

Can we all agree that Joe’s Crab Shack isn’t a restaurant but a money laundering business

I have no clue how that BR location stays in business.

I agree with OP though. Let's send the good local places as much business as possible. Eat out more if you can afford it.

I haven’t done every night, but between lunch and dinner I’ve done City Pork, Soji, Cafe Mimi, Eliza, Solera, and Ava.

Try their pizza next time. Some of the best in BR imo. Great little place.

I liked Zorba’s better back in their old Perkins location where Louisiana lagniappe is nowadays. Dino and his brother Vasilios were awesome

Just Wingin It - my favorite "neighborhood" place. They have their staff hustling to get food out quick and everyone was just as appreciative as they could be. My go-to for wings.

Hope these people get their shite together. Their wings taste awesome and are a good size, best in town in my book. But their service has been abysmal in my experience.

-Late to go orders (like 30 minutes longer than told)
-While I was waiting for my to go table of 8 was complaining they had been waiting for food for 45 minutes. There were 12 patrons in the whole place.
-Do Wings come with celery? Yes! One 2 inch piece of celery for 15 wings.
-Order 15 wings: 13 flats, 2 drums....

Their food is great so if they learn how to run a restaurant they may make it.

Haven't tried them since the shutdown I might give them one more shot.

Too Saucey - dude in there is about as nice and hard a worker as you will find. Kinda guy you really want to root for. The food isn't 5 star stuff but still really good and fast.

I totally echo this. The owner is super-nice and is really busting his arse. I haven't been in a couple weeks, but thanks for the reminder. I am definitely going to make it over in the next couple days.

The food is indeed really good....and I think it is a great concept. It is like Lit Pizza, except with pasta.

What about the “Blue Store”? The OG is in north BR but I believe they’ve branched out. Their “crack wings” are hard to beat.
