I hope they will all make it through this. Try to do what you can to support all our local restaurants in whatever way you can. Share your own so they can see how much we support them and try to do whatever they can to keep the doors open once we are out of the woods.

Masons Grill - they had a full staff working and everyone thanked me when I went to pick up my order. Plus the owners have pledged all their profits to pay their staff. Cajun shrimp burger is the bee's tits.

Too Saucey - dude in there is about as nice and hard a worker as you will find. Kinda guy you really want to root for. The food isn't 5 star stuff but still really good and fast.

Just Wingin It - my favorite "neighborhood" place. They have their staff hustling to get food out quick and everyone was just as appreciative as they could be. My go-to for wings.

Not in SEBR, but I've been doing my best to keep Jefferson/Corporate/Essen area places going. I picked up some pho from Ava tonight and the little Vietnamese woman showed more appreciation for me buying food from her than I thought possible. With everything shut down, I'm concerned about my downtown places, but Cocha just had a big fundraiser for their servers which seemed to go well.

I've had Kabobs, Albasha (love Greek and Lebanese), Carribean Joe's, Jones Creek Oyster Bar, Jasmines on the Bayou.

This shite better end soon or I'm going to be a fatass.

Bring em on. It's not just SEBR dealing with this. I love hearing stories like this.

Shout out to fast good places for crewing up and to bigger establishments for staying open and having things in order when you drive up. And yes, give the hands a nice tip if you are able.

Big Mike's Bar & Grill

Had to lay off 80% of his staff but is doing order/take-out and trying to sustain until things settle.

Not having the bar open is tough.

Salad Station - Denham Springs

Orders for pick-up and delivery. Owners are actually delivering some of the orders personally.

I keep meaning to go try this place out. It's been a few months since I've eaten out, so might be a good time to ride by there within the next few days.

Got a text from Eusebio, the owner at Southfin Poké personally thanking me ordering food from his place. Has to be an emotional time for all those places. I’ll keep spending my money locally

When I picked up from Eliza earlier this week, I spoke to a frequent waiter and he told me that they hadn't let go any servers, but they had to let go of all of theirs hosts and a couple of low level cooks. The servers are basically doing a rotation of one at a time handling front of the house. This has to be a crazy scary time for everyone in the service industry.

ETA: I actually tried to order from Zorba's tonight, but when I called, I got a very sad sounding Dino on voicemail saying that they were closed until next week. Depressed the shite out of me.

Eliza is gem of a small restaurant too that hasn't been around too terribly long.

Willie’s had crawfish hot and ready to go, also selling sangria by the gallon

You can tell staff really appreciate all the orders

There has been a palpable swift in attitude on social media from restaurants from Monday to now here in Houston. I’d imagine reality is setting in. #workfromhometho
