I am a Plankowner of CG-73 USS Port Royal. When we pulled into Savannah for our commissioning ceremony the mayor had a band playing "In the Navy" by the Village people on the pier.

I've been on carriers doing close to 40 knots.

Tie down chains hooked into a padeye.

As in hydroplane up out of the water? Carriers don't really do that. They'll squat a bit and throw up a hell of a rooster tail. And close to 40 knots is not top speed.

Less tonnage, smaller size, different hull, etc. Probably pretty cool cooking along at 25 knots or so.

I figured my mental math was close for speed/weight
