I covered many an Alabama hockey game. The good ole days. I always waiting on the gruesome injury’s, but the worst came from a puck flying into the stands and hitting a parent

This is the beginning of embracing American culture.
Joking aside:
I think the complaint moreso lies with H1Bs and getting lower rates on SMB loans due to minority status than their ability to integrate.

I was at the hockey game. 3-1 Tn over Bama. A good friend’s son plays for Bama.

I’m friends with an Indian doctor through my kids’ school. His family has fully embraced American culture and sports.
He plays tennis five days a week, his 12-yr old son LOVES baseball and he is a really good SS, and his 8th grade daughter is a gymnast and cheerleader.
* I live in a fairly rural area of North Texas, but there is a big Indian influence, as well as predominantly Indian neighborhoods not too far from us. However, he is leery of those areas.
I don’t know if it’s an ethnic issue, or if he wants to carve out his own American path, but I have noticed he tends to separate himself from the DFW Indians

So, we can expect a lot of Patel’s on Alabama’s football team in the future?

It's all about assimilation. I everyone became American, we wouldn’t have near the issues with immigrants.

Assimilation doesn't mean conformity

It's times like these I'm thankful my first degree was worthless.
What you are envisioning is forced assimilation, instead natural assimilation more closely describes cultural pluralism.
They adopt nearly all aspects of our culture while retaining elements of their own heritage.

When I opened up my company, one of my first hires was a young man right off a plane from Banglore. He was a great employee, great friend, incredible work ethic, everyone in the tech department liked working with him.
But his GF that he wanted to marry stayed in India, so after a few years he went back. We still chat about once a month. Some cultures are great immigrants.

Some people are just good people. Largely, Indian immigrants are subpar and here to "fake it till they make it" usually extremely unqualified for whatever task they are employed to do.
I work with many many Indians, some state side, some still in India, I've worked with Indians in Europe, Mexico, you name it. There are really good ones, and their are really bad ones.

The legend of Bill Curry lives on. If it were feather Indians, the Bear could take credit.

I saw it there earlier this week I had no idea. Not a great location very little visibility.
I miss legends sporting goods.

Right. It's about being able to function and be compatible in society, not naming your kid John and eating hot dogs.
