Our work load is way down except covid patients but they don't need what I provide. I have a camp on a lake in the central USA that I share with my brothers. I hear the crappie are bitting. I'm out of here.

Go to NYC. They will license you in NY, give you a place to stay, and all the work you want.

There are no elective surgeries and we get a lot of samples from outlying clinics, which aren't seeing many patients. A lot of BS emergency room visits have dried up too.

Happening at a lot of hospitals. Cutting out elective surgery where they clean up is killing them.

Other people quit going to the hospital and ER for every little cough, snivel, running nose, and slight ailment.

I'm a few months away from that SS check so I'm good. Don't really want the work or hazards right now.

Is a furlough when the nurse doesn’t shave?

I’m sure they are still getting paid bc administrative duties don’t stop. The OP specifically said his skills can’t help the COVID situation.

This, my wife is an ER nurse and I was quite surprised to find out that they're sending nurses home and not allowing anyone to get into overtime pay. Their patient load in the ER is about half that it is normally. Practically all of the ER visits for non-ER related things have stopped, they're dealing with covid related patients and actual emergencies, even the bums coming in for a sandwich have slowed down.

Just wear some good rat-kicking boots. According to the wife (no pics) the rats are out in full force in the streets and subways since there are so few people out and about dropping food hither and yon.

Ok, well do other people just stop having illnesses and injuries because of COVID?

I know at my hospital many of our senior leadership are easily working 12-16 hour days right now.

I think this answers your question.
