Wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't just keep on and keep on with it. How dumb does it get?

Anyway, the coward piece of shite who shot this man needs to die slowly and painfully

I don't know what it is with the violent culture here. It's engrained in peoples brains. And I guess it could happen anywhere. I grew up in a small town loaded with guns. There weren't as many bars, but people drank. People got in fights. People got their arse beat. Never heard of shite like this though. Black, white, cause-related or not... it's a damning indictment on society.

I'm numb to it now. I just browse past the murders in the paper, as if it's just any other story. I guess that's part of the problem. People losing their outrage and will.

I'm very sorry for your friend and his family. I hope something good and productive can ultimately come from this.

Sorry OP.

How old are you and the victim? I ask because I recall my years 18-22 and all of the nights at the Longhorn Club in Toomey. You felt for the bouncers at times. These were just fist fights but DAMN did they escalate. Saw a dude get punted in the head with cowboy boots once while he was down. The bouncers broke up fight and one of guys snuck around and kicked him full on soccer style to side of face/head with point of boot. That pussy is the type that would pull a gun.

In this day and age I cannot imagine a month going by in those Longhorn days without a gun being pulled. With all of the pistols and CHLs now. It just wasn't as big of a deal in the mid-early 90's. My group just never got in fights for fear of missing out on chance for chasing tail.

Again. Sorry to OP and it is just senseless.

Just one of those things that make me feel like an old fart. I can hear in my head "BACK IN MY DAY people just didn't....." shite like this and people being beaten to death at stadiums. WTF??

My rule of thumb from 18 years old to now at 40 is whenever you make eye contact with an a-hole just give them the "dude what's up" nod with slight smile and walk away or look away. Most assholes have no idea how to react to friendliness. It just stuns them and they move on to the next "wants to fight guy". Which in a bar is usually not very far.

Per his FB, there was a big party/ gathering at some bar on the Wank for several days. He posted about everyone coming to get wasted drunk on Thursday and mentioned no fighting. OP said he was a rapper.

sounds like he was part of a rap show there. It looked like the bar Honey's, which is notorious for fighting. It sounded like he wanted the show to run smoothly and was just trying to prevent any fights.
