No doubt. I 100% agree. My bad for knocking Central.

Full disclosure. I did grow up there and graduated from CHS in 1996. It was a great little podunk town to grow up in

They were #2 for several years running pre flood. Slipped to #3 in 2017

I'm not qualified to weigh in on how Central is as a place to live, but based on the threads on here there has to be at least 15 areas that claim they are the #1 or #2 school district in the state.

Central desperately wants to be recognized as a town. It is kind of pathetic. Where exactly is main street in Central? The Circle K?

That's odd because it's the thirteenth largest city in the state (i.e.: not a town) you fricking idiot.

Man I just read the rankings like most. I don't work in education.

That is subjective. Clicking on the first link gives you 13, others are lower. That is all based on 8 year old data too.

So, they aren’t exactly thirteenth then - thanks Google!

You based your info off of the 1st link you clicked. It’s all subjective you idiot.

Sorry that you feel that way. Many of the best people I know were raised in Central. It’s a very prideful community with good, hard working people that care about their children, their schools, and neighborhoods. If you’re basing your opinion on how it looks 16 months after a 100 year flood then that opinion tells me much more about YOU than it does about Central.

I don’t live in Central but would be curious to know the exact street/area you live to see your point of reference. You seem to have a high opinion of yourself to come out of nowhere and cast judgement on others. I am not quite sure what you expected to accomplish with this.

You are exactly right!!! Central is a shite hole of a town!!! We will keep our number 3 rankings in schools and income in the state, along with our high taxes.

Best thing is to just stay out of central.

I grew up in Central and I agree. Although it was much more of a little country suburb in the 80s and 90s.

Just about every suburb in Louisiana is a depressing swath of strip malls, gas stations, and neighborhoods with cheap houses that will eventually flood.
