Amazing place. We went with Preservation Hall Jazz Band. A group of about 150 people from all over the U.S. and Canada traveled there for the Havana Jazz Festival. Last time I was there I was 8 years old. Loved it. Looking forward to returning as soon as travel from the U.S. opens up. Preservation Hall also delivered music instruments to school children and at one of the events e children played Bourbon Street Parade for us. Was great.

Jealous. I want to go. Badly, and not even for cigars.

Cruises are already getting ready to add Cuba to their ports of call. It is beginning.

So basically you visited the façade they put on to make it look like Cuba is such a great place where the people are happy, and not the rest of Cuba where people suffer

My g/f and I were watching a show the other night and Anthony Bourdain went. We were both saying how we wouldn't mind moving there in about 20 years. She speaks Spanish and I have 20 years to learn.

Overblown anyway. It's not today what it used to be when Cubans were the standard bearer. Today you can find Dominican and Nicaraguan sticks that beat Cubans.

I'm so jealous, I really want to go to Havana. They were talking about starting ferry service to Cuba, waiting for that so I can go!

Can't wait to go back and see Havana again. Last time I was there in the late 50s, I saw Sammy Davis Jr at The Tropicana with Meyer, Sammy and the boys. Banged a flamingo dancer in a dressing room at the Havanna Rivierra that same night. That was 58. Never got back down before Fidel's revolutionaries ruined everything.

OMG! The old cars were everywhere. The owners drive them as taxis. If I could post pics here I would.

Great representation of the entire country. The food, music and beaches are freaking awesome. I am going in the next two years for sure.
