This is why the Cops leaked all the info, and didn't let Superiors and Rahm and company keep the shite secret.:

quote:

Superintendent Eddie Johnson just suggested that if Smollett apologized & paid a fine, that will be "justice".

This suggests he won't get jail time & underscores other reports that rank and file Chicago police officers are unhappy that Smollett is being treated with kid gloves.

What did you want for a low-grade felony? I'm sure that $100k is on the high end when compared to similar cases.

I don't see how he should face any less penalty than the guy who mailed fake bombs a few months ago.

Jussie mailed a powder laced letter to a workplace threatening to kill someone.

It's because you don't understand how it works.

I already later it out for you in a previous post.

Eta....
quote:

Does Jussie plead guilty this afternoon or does he plead not guilty and waste more taxpayers time and money?

Oh you....

If he pleads guilty the judge can sentence him to the 1 year in jail and he would go to jail immediately. His lawyers wouk d have zero say so on possible sentencing.

Bond out then let your lawyer plead it down and have some control over what can happen to the race baiting idiot.

You ALWAYS plead not guilty even if guilty.

As the presser this morning ended, the CPD Chief was asked what he hope JS would do to help fix this? He sounded like he wanted to be reimbursed for time and resources spent to solve this.

Reading all that just makes me laugh. How could he possibly think he would get away with all of that?
