These are all capitalist countries. But Japan has less than half of our population and none of the others come close. Demographics also should play a role because they have far less immigrants and actually have a very strict immigration policy. So while I see your point, you kind of made my point as well. Capitalism is best. China and India figured that out and they've come a long way since. We should never resort to socialism. Period.

I don't want us to move to a purely socialist economy either. I think you have to admit, however, that all the G8 countries have some socialist policies. All of the world's most developed economies are mixed economies. They've all "resorted to socialism" to some degree and it hasn't stopped them or us from being successful. Neither does it mean that Kruschev was right about the Cold War. They didn't bury us, we buried them, and the fact that Social Security exists doesn't change that.

You strike me as one of those naive and uninformed people who think that in the old Soviet Union or in the new Red China, people were/are all equal in the areas of material wealth and standards of living, because those regimes were/are Socialist.
No. What happened in the old Soviet Union is that the Ruling Political Class in Government, Media, Journalism and Entertianment, had all of the wealth and the pee-on dipshit peasant regular citizens had to go at each other's throats for the scraps of remnants of the necessities of life that was thrown their way by Socialism.
Want to know what's happening in the USA now? A new system is being born in which FedGov controls the wealth and is in position to distribute and re-distribute wealth to the favored constituency groups. And that's pretty much what happened in the old Soviet Union and what happens in China.
I don't want the USA to go down this path. Do you?

Don't make the error of thinking that any loyalist Democrat is willing to learn new things and discover any new evidence that might challenge their "religious" beliefs in what the Democrat info outlets push into their reptilian brains. That will never happen. These zombie automatons have no capability to use reason and critical thinking to arrive at new intellectual horizons. The Government public schools that indoctrinated them made sure that this would never happen.
