re: Judge Suspended - formally accused of ethical and judicial misconduct

I’m an attorney in Birmingham and I primarily do probate and estate planning. I can tell you from first hand experience that she does a horrible job managing her Court. Cases are mismanaged and mishandled. Hearings constantly get continued, even in urgent cases like involuntary commitments and emergency guardianships/conservatorships. It’s pathetic.

Edit: I’ll also add that Jefferson County actually has two probate judge seats. The other probate judge, Judge Moore, does a good job and keeps her cases moving efficiently. She’s had to to pick up the slack from Judge Blanchard even though Judge Blanchard is the presiding probate judge.
