I think TulaneLSU has finally found his lawyers to settle up that little Costco and Sam’s King Crab weight problem.

Burger King should say that they were under sizing everything else and the customers are actually getting more than what is being advertised.

Popeye's better hope it doesn't advertise having spicy chicken at the drive through.

And McDonalds better stop advertising milkshakes.

Back in the day you used to be able to get a 100x100 at In N Out but now they limit it to a 4x4. The story goes when it popped up on the internet (in 2004) the CEO at the time could see undercooked patties in some of the latter postings and put an end to it.

The original viral receipt and picture of the 100x100.

How can this be true….

quote:

Roy Altman, a federal judge in Miami, said parts of the proposed class-action suit against the company could proceed This includes the accusation that—on its in-store advertisements and menus—Burger King depicts its burgers looking 35% larger than they actually are. The suit also claims that, in reality, Whoppers have less than half the meat as advertised.

I’d this is also true…

However, he dismissed the plaintiff’s complaint that its TV and online ads were misleading, stating that the company never promised burgers of a certain size in its digital marketing campaigns.

Most products have shrunk or been shrunkeded by the food companies nowadays. The shortage in some packages/wrappers is laughable really.

Probably hanging out with King Charles III

He may be holed up in the Embassy to avoid prosecution.

Agree, but this isn't a Wells Fargo case where they stole money from people's bank accounts or opened accounts in someone's name without permission.

They just made a burger look better than it was. People have always known better. The Big Mac meme is so old that I used it in presentations a decade ago. And if someone out there was actually fooled by a Whopper ad (unlikely) they were only fooled once.

Ehh, reasonable consumers don’t eat Burger King. The intent is to deceive. And it’s bullshite.

Like many class action lawsuits, only the lawyers will make money.

Suing a corporation isn’t an inherent right. It’s a choice. If it’s not worth the money, don’t sue.

I mean this is why we have false advertisement rules though. I’m not as upset about this as I am about other lawsuits.

The whopper is already gigantic compared to most other chains burgers

Like our Fatass society needs a bigger burger.

I will say though as much hate BK gets, the whopper is a solid burger. It’s about all they have but the burger is decent

Puffery is an established, and legally protected, part of marketing and advertising. Seems like a frivolous lawsuit to me. Caveat emptor.
