Right. So you know what they'll do, but you won't do what you know you need to do to prevent it. That's fantastic.
Why should people listen to others who pick and choose when they actually think this is serious?
Also makes you think people will actually listen this time? If anything fewer people will listen. A lot of places, including where I live, still saw plenty of traffic after a few weeks despite the stay at home “order”. What are they going to do, use cops to enforce their rules?

The point is that we know governments (state and city) have a hair trigger when it comes to shutting shite back down
And so your response to their gross abuse of power is to....lick their boots?
Get the frick out of here. People like you are why these governments try to pull the bullshite they do.

Yeah a second time a around will definitely get far less compliance. You can bank on that.

Especially when the "medical experts" that advocated destroying the economy and everyone staying home did a complete 180 in less than 24 hours to justify the packed cheek to cheek protests as being more important because reasons.
But they're experts and totally not controlled by political optics. Not one bit. Nope. Not at all.

Shite will not happen again in Red states. People will just shoot these fools the bird and keep rolling.

Quite the opposite. I just know what it takes to make this go away. So do you, but you won't do it. And then you'll scream bloody murder when they do what you know is coming.
You're "that guy"... you bitch no matter what.

Me saying I'm willing to wear a mask and be smart about distancing to prevent another shutdown triggers you in the worst way.

If people would just distance and wear their fricking masks this wouldn't keep happening.
But no...personal liberty, it's a hoax, etc attitude is going to continue to crush any progress being made. My brother has said that in Florida hardly anyone is wearing their masks, it's basically business as usual, and their numbers are up sharply.
In Illinois daily new cases continue to trend way down because we're all wearing masks whenever we go inside anywhere and many people wear them whenever outside.
Damn, you don't even need a Commissar to keep you in line. I'd be ashamed to buy this bullshite; "If people would just distance and wear their fricking masks" !

This shite is going to make people not want to seek treatment for fear of adding to the numbers and getting another shelter in place order.

I heard Texas had 2,500 new cases today, a record.
I also heard hospitals are being paid extra on Covid numbers so everyone is being diagnosed this way.
So who the frick knows the truth anymore.

ICU availability in many southern states is getting pretty low, and if that continues, gird your loins.
But keep being rebellious about wearing a mask indoors, cuz freedom.

Meh, this is about the equivalent of a 400 case day in Louisiana.
And it all depends on what these "cases" are, something you never hear about. There is a lot more testing. Are all these people sick? How many are asymptomatic?

You’re not doing that though, you’re blaming people in states in which you don’t live for something that hasn’t happened yet. Sorry your politicians suck? I’m going to play some golf and hit the bar Saturday

Some of it is being driven by increased testing for sure. But the numbers are not encouraging regardless. Our stock portfolios will continue to tank if this continues to get worse. Not awesome.

Is he asking for every state to follow Illinois' lead?

There are states whose numbers are way down and continue to decrease, because of what we've done and are doing. Others where the opposite is true.
I'm going to the bar tomorrow and golfing Sunday, so cheers. Tomorrow I'll be outside, wearing a mask when inside or walking around, and Sunday I'll be in my own cart.

Understand what you are saying, and I wish the numbers were going down. But the reality is that we just have to carry on and deal with this respiratory virus that kills less than half a percent of the people it infects. The shut downs were a complete and total fail. No matter how long you shut down the virus will be there waiting when you emerge.
Actually, the places that are now doing well are the ones that didn't flatten the curve. They took their pain and now seem to be on the other side of it.
