I seriously doubt a notorious a-hole like Jose Canseco who burned down every single bridge he had when he outed everyone for steroids (b/c he needed money after going broke) has many people he can call for favors.

How on earth did she get a VS gig? She's way under 250 pounds and she isn't a guy.

A) she is obviously hot
B) she is a model and influencer. Her last name and dad’s fame and notoriety give her a massive head start on other hot chicks.
A hot chick whose parents are no names but are affluent and paid for private school is in a much worse position for booking high-profile modeling gigs than a hot chick whose famous dad squandered his earnings.
If she was Josie Johnson, I’m sure she would have guys paying for and trying to date her because she is hot. But she would have much worse odds to book modeling gigs.

Maybe. I don’t know if there is a bigger crapshoot than being a supermodel. Many of them are textbook “seen better on the quad” but have a signature look that gets them into the high fashion crowd

that's true, years ago I took a group of VS models to a photo shoot in Grand Cayman(pre-woke days,) and all of them had the beautiful model bods, and nice physical features, and all of them had pretty faces but until they were made up for the shoot, although they would be noticed in the quad, they wouldn't necessarily stand out

You might be right, but if that's the case, half of hollywood and sports would be one-act careers. How many raging a-holes and cheaters are getting second and third acts? Ever notice how a f**up coach at a D1 school will get fired for a scandal, then pop up two years later at a smaller school that wants to build a program?
Billy Joel is a huge a-hole and people keep going to see him.
Canseco may have burned a lot of bridges but all you need is five people who will answer your call. And it's not like he's trying to get a tv show, he's trying to hook up his hot daughter.
