You sound like the people who think Trump committed "tax evasion." All the responses in this thread read just like the things democrats were saying when the Washington Post got a hold of his tax return.

I assume he was talking about OP. Basically OP is bitching that someone worked so hard and made so much money he should give it away to others instead of being allowed to receive government assistance that other people receive - the ones who aren’t as successful

Sounds like some liberal bitchfest to me

I'll never forget him being shamed into opening his church after Harvey.
Baptist church near me opened as a shelter and was over run with volunteers to take in and feed storm refugees. I brought food to them even though I am not a member of that church.
Joel with his multi millions of dollars and a frickin sports arena church has to be publicly shamed in to taking any action after one of the worst disasters in recent history.
F him and his hypocritical congregation.

People that belong to prosperity gospel churches are Christians in name only anyway.

Same goes for Jesse Duplantis here.

Many Baton Rouge churches took bailout money. Likely all over. Look it up. Many do have payrolls of people and/or teachers working there just like any other business.

Lakewood’s PPP check went to 368 full- and part-time employees, spokesman Donald Iloff told the Houston Business Journal.

Calculated to @$12k per.

I'm not a fan of Osteen, but is the math wrong for employees?

It’s one of the egregious bunch of non Christ-Like nonsense there is, and that’s saying something this day and age. All one has to do is read the Bible and ask themselves, “self, does this line up with the scriptures you just read?” And the obvious answer to that question is NO....It’s really really bad. The fleecing of the so called “sheep” though is the worst.

Not sure how Olsteen used the money, but typically PPP relief is designed for employees salary AND company‘a bills/fixed cost

Because that motherfricker should be the christian he claims to be, pay his people from his own resources, and let the money go to people who, you know, actually need it.

You have to first take yourself off the pedestal and put Christ on the pedestal where He belongs. That’s the common denominator in these cults. Christ isn’t lifted up, or if He is, then man is often lifted up along side Him as Demi gods.

quote:

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

Why would Christ seek to make His followers rich in order to take their heart away from Him and focused on their own riches?

This money went to employees of the church and if he can't show that it did, he'll have to pay it back. Who cares?

And nobody should have to pay taxes on a private jet, why would I care that Joel Osteen isn't?

So, you openly support con men? He worse than a Pharisee or false teacher. Prosperity gospel is the blinding example of cherry picking scripture as a means to an end.
