Joe Rogan told listeners of his wildly popular podcast there's no need to get the COVID-19 vaccine if they're young and fit

'If you're a healthy person, and you're exercising all the time, and you're young, and you're eating well, like, I don't think you need to worry about this'

The Centers for Disease and Control say the vaccine is safe and effective for everyone over 16

An estimated 43% of the US population has had at least one jab, and scientists estimate more than 70% will require a vaccine to reach herd immunity

Rogan, 53, signed an exclusive deal with Spotify in 2020 to host his shows worth $100m

His podcast guests have spread COVID-19 conspiracy theories in the past

He is a podcast host not a medical expert. Good lord. People who get their medical advice from a podcast are idiots. We need to stop holding everyone to the standard of they have to have the perfect opinion on everything especially when it comes to matters of science and medicine.

Jesus H Christ anything not perfectly aligned with the narrative is a “conspiracy theory” to these mouth breathers. Scientific debate is no more.

First off, I agree with him.

Secondly, Joe and Spotify's relationship won't make it a year. I think he's getting sick of a lot of things.

Also if you listen to other podcasts that include his friends and regular guests, I think they hate the new platform too.

Meh, doctors are trained to put you on medication. Not much better.

I want to believe that Rogan said this because he believes it and because it's true.

However, he's playing the game and playing it well enough now. He knows this will tick off a good portion of his new overlords. Throw them into a tizzy, get people who used to listen back listening because it's somewhat counter-cultural, etc.

In short, he said it to cause a stir most likely. Which isn't something I would have said about Rogan 3-4 years ago, but I'd say it now.

We've been told for over a year that older people, and those with pre-existing health conditions are more at risk, especially those who are overweight.

So our immune systems and physical fitness are conspiracy theories now?

I swear these articles read 10 tweets from the same blue haired wokes and claim “outrage” and “under fire”. I haven’t seen shite about people upset over his comments on this but this article claims he’s under fire? They live in an echo chamber.
