people trying to lock Joe down to right or left is hysterical. the dude is all for paying more taxes but he sees how unsustainable that is in a county like LA. the money just gets thrown away basically. he even mentioned how the Mayor is one of the reasons for leaving.

Joe doesn't hate trump. He recognizes that trump is an idiot and a terrible leader. He also realizes that Trump has a lot of good policies. He's pretty close to center-left as far as politics go

Where is Spotify located? I’m not a cpa but I doubt he can just move and be 100% out of state taxes if Spotify and his job is still based out of Cali. Now he’s got enough money and brains to work it out to likely save.

I’m just saying it’s not as easy as just moving and saving. Similar to pro ball players that pay income tax where they play not where they live.

State income taxes are based on where the work is performed and number of days you spend in the state.

Joe can move to Texas but if he flies back to LA to shoot podcast episodes then that income is taxable to California.

And the California Franchise Tax Board is fricking ruthless. He has to abandon CA completely to avoid taxes there.
