Rogan flirts with Bernie sanders ideas but that is because joe isn’t typecast in any political ideology.

But If you watch he recent episodes like in the past two weeks, Joe seems to be veering right. I’m not calling him a conservative, but 2020 has definitely moved him further right than he was.

Texas outdoor recreation? It's too damn crowded and urban sprawl

Lake Travis, lake Austin, caddo lake, Toledo bend.
Big bend hiking.
Comal, Guadalupe, new Braunfels rivers. Wildflower viewing, great hunting and saltwater fishing.

There’s as much to do outdoors in Texas as anywhere. Maybe you aren’t looking hard enough. There’s more to Texas than DFW & Houston metros.

He will save millions of that $100 million dollar deal in state income tax. At least 10 million dollars

Not if he buys multi million dollar mansion.

The independent school district and local government where he lives will suck him dry in property taxes over the years.

If he was a suck-up to the Left, then he would have had Biden, Buttigieg, Warren, and Kamala on the podcast. They all requested to be on and he refused.

You must be new to JRE. Because he's been down this path for the last 3-5 yrs.

Except I heard him (in person) doing it, so there’s that.

This. Southern California weather is unreal.

How could it not?

I often catch myself wondering if that's the entire point. I know that the people rioting and looting are random people and not involved in some conspiracy, but it seems, just on the surface, that it's working in favor of Republicans. Because people seeing places like Portland, Seattle, or NYC where police are being ridiculed and pushed out are seeing massive unrest, and normal Americans who were fine with the way life was going are saying to themselves "Is that the way the left really feels? I was leaning that way, but perhaps our values aren't exactly rooted in the same reality."

I don't understand how your average 30 - 45 year old in the midwest who lives in a swing state isn't seeing this shite and saying "yeah they aren't on the right path."

I tend to think of Rogan as a moderate. He definitely doesn't subscribe to the absolute loony shite of the left. Either way, the guy gets the best guests out there.

I’m not new. Joe was mainly a fence sitter. He is now starting to join the ranks of the right.

I just don’t think he’s overly thought through what Bernie is saying. What he says does sound nice, but when you get into the math and show it to Joe, I’m willing to bet he’d say “frick that”. He said that Eric Garcetti is a major reason he’s leaving LA. He’s thought Garcetti through, but not Bernie.

Far to many left wing ideas for real Texans. Obviously won't be out in the country.

FWIW, among L.A. libertarian minded conservatives his name is Joe Rogaine. They are shocked he didn't get hammered in the MeToo movement a la Bill Cosby.

I lived there and know a few in the know. The problem with CA is all the far leftists from places like Boston, NYC, Philly, Baltimore and ChiTown who moved there over the past 4 decades, even more than the immigrants
