I saw arrests for arson were made. Is there anything that proves the arsonists are tied to a larger movement, or is it possible they’re just crazy assholes?

Not after seeing all the arrest documents that Beck provided. He begged YouTube to take it down so YouTube can argue against his evidence on all the arrests. YouTube knows that he is right and that’s why they never took that video down.

i'm open to the belief that I am wrong.

Has the "left wing" come out and taken credit for this? typically left wingers are all treehuggers muh save the trees and their "environmentalism" is what causes the fires. not actively setting them for political purposes... so which is it.

i just want more evidence.

I think it's a pretty safe bet these people hold left-wing views. For one thing, they're from CA, OR, etc.

The other thing to consider is that if these people could be connected to right-wing politics in even the vaguest of ways, we'd damn sure be hearing about that.

Are they crazy a-holes? Yeah, they are. But that doesn't change the facts that 1) they're not global warming and 2) they're not conservatives.

People downvote you because you actually tell the truth. Rogan isn't brainwashed. He actually tries to correct himself when wrong. There are arsonists but there is no proof they are politically motivated.

Yeah man, that’s probably all true, but there’s still no proof that the arsonists are from some larger movement. Until there is, it’s just assumptions and conjecture. Facts don’t care about your feelings and all that.

Rogan apologized for stating something he thought he was true, but turned out not to be...yet. It may very well be proven, but until then, he’d rather make sure he’s not making a mistake. The MSM would never admit a mistake. If you hate the media, you should champion what he’s doing because it’s the opposite of what the MSM would do.

I don't think you realize how Conservative northern California and big parts of Oregon can be.

Get outside the cities, and you will see mostly conservatives.

There are so many assumptions you have to make in order to get there, though:

1. Saying it’s a safe bet that they hold left-song views purely because they live in CA or OR is a stretch. 41% of Oregon, 38% of Washington, and 31% of California voters voted for Trump. Compared to 52%, 54%, and 61% for Hillary (respectively). And most of CA’s Trump voters are in the northern part of the state. I haven’t done the math in detail but I’d bet that when you look outside of the major metro areas, it’s 50/50 at best.

2. Having left-wing views does not make one a left-wing extremist. Now, you might argue that having left-wing views and committing arson does make one an extremist, and you might be right - if they are starting fires for political/ideological reasons.

3. I don’t know that Rogan said it specifically, but I have seen several pundits and plenty of TD users say Antifa is starting fires. Implying that these left-wing arsonists identify with Antifa AND that they are coordinating to start the fires.

So we jump from “people in left-leaning states started some of the fires” to “Antifa responsible for fires in Pacific NW.” I don’t think it would be fair to assume they were right-wing extremists if this happened in West Texas, or if the arsonists turned out to be Trump voters, either.

Now, if there is evidence that these folks are actually left-wing extremists - e.g. past participation in riots/protests, being members of far-left groups online, etc. - that’s a different story.

I don't what there is to elaborate. That statement just isn't true. Rogan certainly has a lot of liberal takes, but to say he tries to "fit in with the Hollywood liberal in crowd." is just not true.

That's what I like about Rogan. He is willing to have anyone on his show. He will listen to what anyone has to say and then discuss. There are times when he understands why people have different views towards the same thing.

And he doesn't have some ego where he feels the need to be in control of an interview. He wants to hear it all. Try to understand that person. Give his listeners as much information as possible.. And if he gets something wrong, he isn't above admitting it.

We need that more than anything in today's world because everyone else has a narrative.

Yes it is. It's true. And I guess you missed this part too:

There's a segment of this board that considers that a sign of weakness rather than a sign of intelligence, and it's frightening.

Wasn't only one actual antifa member arrested for arson? I think he was apologizing for making it seem like all of the arsonists were blm protesters
